Three months before the show’s release, Paramount+ announced that they would be introducing a new generation of the Dutton family in the show. The stacked cast lineup will include Darren Mann as Jacob’s great-nephew, James Badge Dale as his father, and Marley Shelton as his mother. Seemingly one of the story’s antagonists, Jerome, plays the role of Banner Creighton, a shepherd and local leader. In the trailer dropped by Paramount+, Mirren can be seen threatening revenge on Banner as she says, “men kill quick with a bullet or a noose, but your fight is with me, and I kill much slower.”

According to the official synopsis, 1923 will ” “explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.”

Well, Jacob Dutton, played by Harrison Ford, will be the leading monarch at the ranch in 1923, and according to sources, he is the blood brother of James Dutton, who featured in the prequel show ‘1883’. Hence, the audience will witness several interlinking stories and references to the prequel.
Season 2 is Already In The Works
We are not sure about this one because there has yet to be any official release. Still, according to a popular news outlet, season 2 is already in the works, and the cast is being negotiated to return for another season. Mirren added, “They’ve been married a long time. They haven’t had children, so they haven’t had the sense of children holding them together. An incredible partnership where you can be honest with each other, and your love and support of each other is total, but at the same time, you are no longer blinded by love or lust. You’re much clearer about your relationship, but the relationship becomes all the stronger for that reason.”
