Meanwhile, Ressler is sponsoring a man who is doing well in his recovery. At Red’s house, Cooper confronts him about killing two individuals and reminds that FBI is not a hit squad. The task force begins their investigation by questioning Lou, the shooter in a recent prison attack. However, Lou refuses to speak and other interviews with prisoners also yield no results.

Malik discovers that Lou’s brother moved $10,000 just before the attack to a shell company, but they refuse to speak as well. Cooper suggests that Red might know someone at Acordia Bank, where Nelson may have an account.

A Decision That Haunts Cooper 30 Years Later

Thirty years back, Cooper was the only juror who voted not guilty in the State of Maryland vs. Lawrence Nelson trial. The other jurors were unhappy with his decision, claiming that they had DNA evidence against Nelson. However, Cooper stood his ground, not to destroy a young man’s life just because they were in a hurry to go home.

In the present day, Red visits Benny at Acordia Bank to obtain information about Lawrence Nelson. Red threatens him with a gun to obtain Nelson’s records. Meanwhile, Ressler and Malik interrogate Gina, who they believe is the Postman, and learn that Nelson is helping a prisoner make a deadly toxin using rare rosaries made from the Abrus precatorius vine.

Nelson Race Against Time to Stop a Bio-Weapon Attack

Cooper realizes that Nelson plans to sell the lethal toxin, Abrin, and calls Red for help. Red provides him with more information on Abrin. Meanwhile, Cooper discovers that Nelson plans to target a government building in Baltimore. Cooper believes that Nelson is seeking revenge on Christopher Jay.

They must act fast before Nelson carries out his plan.

Cooper Uncovers New Evidence

After the task force apprehended Nelson. Cooper presented a file to him containing a transcript of his ex-girlfriend’s first conversation with the police on the night of Carrie Baker’s murder. He asserts that prosecutor Christopher Jay arranged the deal, driven by his political aspirations at the time.

Cooper tells Nelson that he will do everything in his power to have the original crime expunged from his record and hold Jay accountable. Although Nelson asks what difference it makes, Cooper says that it makes all the difference.

Meanwhile, Ressler meets with the man he is sponsoring who is struggling with addiction. The man admits that he feels like people are watching him and expecting him to mess up. Ressler pours the man’s pills into his coffee and tells him they will wait together until the meeting later.
