The Boys Season 4 Trailer Released!

In the aftermath of the explosive Season 1 finale of Gen V, brace yourselves for the triumphant return of The Boys in Season 4!

Prime Video unleashed the first trailer for the upcoming season of the decidedly R-rated superhero series this Saturday. Our last encounter with The Boys left them grappling with the aftermath of their clash with Homelander (played by Antony Starr) and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). As Season 4 unfolds, the campaign trail takes center stage with the looming election, triggering both pro- and anti-supe protests.

The trailer tantalizingly reveals Starlight (Erin Moriarty) returning to action, a young girl with Xenomorph-like aliens emerging from her mouth. Additionally, viewers get a sneak peek at Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s new character crossing paths with Butcher, marking a “Supernatural” reunion between Morgan and The Boys creator Eric Kripke.

According to Variety as Season 4 gears up, fans can anticipate the continuation of story threads introduced in Gen V. The first spinoff in The Boys universe, Gen V, recently concluded its Season 1 at Godolkin University, uncovering an insidious program called The Woods that aimed to develop a virus to eliminate supes. The post-credits scene of Season 1 hints at Butcher launching an investigation into the now-defunct facility.

In a surprising twist, the Gen V finale featured not only Butcher but also a cameo by Homelander himself, descending to somewhat save the day amidst chaos at Godolkin’s campus. However, the main cast of Gen V heroes found themselves framed for the attack and confined to a mysterious room after thwarting the threat.

Adding to the excitement, news recently surfaced about a Mexico-set spinoff in the works, with writer Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer and executive producers Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal attached to the project. As the anticipation builds, The Boys Season 4 promises a thrilling continuation of the dark and unpredictable world of supes.
