Robert Pattinson Was Not Fit For Twilight!

The Batman actor Robert Pattinson secured his place in audiences’ heart and mind with his portrayal of Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga. However, the path to casting Pattinson in the role wasn’t as smooth.

According to Deadline, Hardwicke recounted Despite initial hesitations, she recognized something special. “I thought ‘it works not just in person, but it works on screen.’ I had to be sure. Of course, in person, I just got carried away, but you have to be sure — does it really translate to the screen?”

“I sent it to Summit, and he went over to meet them,” Hardwicke explained. “They called me back and went, ‘Do you think you can make this guy look good?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I do. Did you see his cheekbones? We’re doing a makeover on the hair and everything, and he’s going to start working out and he’s going to be gorgeous.’ But they didn’t believe it at first. He walked over there with a stained shirt, It was Rob.” 15 years to this iconic role and ultimate saga.

Despite the skepticism, Pattinson eventually clinched the role, marking the beginning of a cinematic phenomenon. Hardwicke also disclosed the other actors considered for the part of Edward, including Ben Barnes, and Jackson Rathbone. While Rathbone missed out on Edward, he found his place in the saga as Jasper.

The behind-the-scenes journey of casting Pattinson as Edward Cullen is a testament to the transformative power of belief in an actor’s potential, resulting in a cinematic legacy of Twilight saga that continues to enchant fans worldwide.
