Fans Are Siding With Britney Spears on Recent Controversy
Britney Spears is opening up about her relationship with Justin Timberlake in her new memoir The Woman in Me.
Spears, the Grammy winning star writes that she became pregnant with the Timberlake baby two decades ago but had an abortion. She underwent the procedure because Timberlake, wasn’t ready to become a father.
In an excerpt of The Woman in Me published by The PEOPLE, Spears stated that the pregnancy “was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated”. Spears wrote, “I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.” She described the episode as “one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life.”
Spears and Timberlake were in their late teens and early 20s when they dated from 1999 until 2002. This controversy ignited the fire on Twitter as fans started to side with Britney Spears.
Britney Spears was my childhood idol. As a kid i was so surprised w what was happening in her life back then, not knowing that she's in so much pain & life is not so kind to her. Now i understand why, time is indeed the ultimate truth teller. Hugs for you @britneyspears 🫂💝❤️🩹
