Britney Spears has spoken up after the news came out that she and her husband Sam Asghari are no longer together, and Sam is filing a divorce.
Sam Asghari, 29, stood by Britney Spears, 41, during her mental health treatment and the conclusion of her conservatorship.
However, reports of difficulties in their marriage have been featured in American tabloids.
A short time after the news of their separation broke, Britney was seen without her wedding ring. This followed the revelation that she and Sam had decided to end their marriage of one year.
TMZ was the first to report the news, and a source later confirmed to the Associated Press news agency that Asghari had indeed filed for divorce.
The 41-year-old singer posted a strange message on Instagram. She announced that she’s considering buying a horse. This happened after her 29-year-old spouse filed for divorce on Wednesday.
After the divorce news broke, Britney posted a picture of herself wearing a yellow bikini while riding a horse on the beach. She wrote in the caption, “Planning to buy a horse soon!!! So many options, it’s a bit difficult!!! Should I go for a horse named Sophie or another one named Roar???”
‘I can’t make up my mind!!! Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on??? Either way I think I found my sweet spot with Roar.’ She added.
Based on court records, Asghari is requesting spousal support and asking for Britney, who is a multi-millionaire, to cover his legal expenses.
Regarding their financial situation, Asghari’s lawyer Neal Hersh mentioned that there are still matters to be settled, even though the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place that is designed to safeguard Britney’s assets acquired before the marriage.
According to Page Six, Britney has enlisted the services of renowned celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, known for representing high-profile clients including Kim Kardashian, Kevin Costner, and Johnny Depp.
However, there are claims that Asghari is making threats to reveal potentially embarrassing information about Britney if she doesn’t agree to revise the terms. A source close to Spears dismissed these allegations as ‘absurd,’ according to DailyMail.
In the past, Britney sought Laura Wasser’s assistance in 2008 when she was in a custody battle with her former husband, Kevin Federline, who is 45 years old, over their two sons.
