Dominique Thorne shares ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ to ‘Ironheart’ legacy
The star, Dominique Thorne shares about the legacy of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to Ironheart.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has begun transferring its superhero hats. Since Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) are no longer active, new superheroes are donning the IronMan and Captain America mantles. When Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s events took place, the latter was fully presented when Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams made her acting debut. The actor claims that her solo Ironheart series takes off right away, building on the scenes from Wakanda Forever.
The actor says, “[Having Black Panther: Wakanda Forever lead into Ironheart] is pure joy. It’s pure, unfiltered excitement and readiness to really carry that momentum and carry the mantle. To pass it off and add to the greatness that Wakanda Forever has done such an exceptional job of laying the foundation for and building upon it. Now the only thing left to do is run with it.”
While talking about more characters in the Ironhearts, Dominique says, Honestly, I’m going to say it’s the whole core ensemble,” Thorne admitted. “It’s really, look at me trying to answer without giving away the storyline, but I definitely think the core cast is such, for the same reason that we’ve actually just touched on.”
Ironheart will be released on Disney+ later in 2023.
