‘Blue Bloods’ renewed as Stars Sacrifice Paychecks to Save Show and Jobs

One of the CBS longest-running TV series after NCIS: Los Angeles, Blue Bloods has been renewed for its 14th season. 

The announcement came after the producers and stars agreed to the 25 percent pay reduction in order to keep the show running for the next season. The decision was made in order to ensure that the show continues to run on Friday nights and to maintain employment for the numerous production staff members involved. 

The drama is led by the outstanding Tom Selleck along with a talented bunch of cast and creative team where viewers continue to embrace the series’ dramatic plot as well as their raw enforcement story. It became an earning source for paramount digital for its part in diversely divided broadcast and securing international deals.

Blue Bloods rank as a No. 3 TV serial averaging above 9.5 million per episode which remains the most watched Friday night heyday lineup.

Some of the actors include  Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes and Len Cariou in the show, for which CBS had pursued action for a pay cut. Another TV series namely SWAT is still in doubt whether it’s going to resume for the next season if CBS and Sony works their way to economically make another season possible.
