For “The Walking Dead” season finale, AMC has released more than 30 teaser images. At least three of them, including one that has since been removed from the network’s press page, seem to reveal two significant plot points from the final episode of the show.
Two of the many teaser images show Judith Grimes (Cailey Fleming) looking healthy and lively.
Given that the series’ penultimate episode ended with Judith shot and Daryl rushing through zombie-infested streets to get her medical help, that revelation comes as a bit of a shock.
It’s hard to imagine that Judith wouldn’t have more blood on her clothes after being shot. Furthermore, it seems unlikely that Judith would be mobile and agile after her injury.
The biggest spoiler is in the third image. At first glance, it looks like a normal photo of Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Carol (Melissa McBride), and Princess (Paola Lázaro).
However, it was quickly noticed online by fans as it looked to reveal a character’s demise. Luke (Dan Fogler) appears to be on the ground if you pay close attention.
After some time, the image was taken down from AMC’s press page, but not before fans started posting it online.
Fans expressed their disappointment and shock at the possibility that the network may have leaked a character’s demise nearly a week before the show’s conclusion.
“The Walking Dead” finale will air Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. It will stream simultaneously on AMC+.
