Reeves and Reedus Rev Up for Season Six in Utah’s Desert

On the latest episode of Ride With Norman Reedus that aired on Sunday, Keanu Reeves rode alongside Norman Reedus as they journeyed through the Utah desert.

The 59-year-old actor, Keanu Reeves, joined forces with Norman, who is 54 years old, at the Bonneville Salt Flats, a well-known place for setting speed records.

‘Out here it’s like being in another world. Utah is the last frontier of the old Wild West. A place where outlaws sought refuge and pioneers could forge their own reality,’ Norman said in a voice-over.

The show featured Norman and Keanu riding next to each other on motorcycles in the desert.

‘I’m seeing Utah with Johnny Utah,’ Norman said, referencing Keanu’s character from the 1991 crime action film Point Break.

Norman shared that he and Keanu had discussed going on a motorcycle trip together for many years, and now, it was finally coming true.

‘It’s our first chance to spend real time together. And I can tell already that this is gonna be an epic ride,’ Norman said.

Keanu provided a humorous account of the Bonneville Salt Flats’ history, and he openly confessed to the camera that he was getting all the details mixed up.

During their ride, Norman inquired about Keanu’s Arch Motorcycle Company, and Keanu explained that the company was founded in 2011. He also showcased the KRGT-1 model to Norman.

‘I call it kind of metro modern,’ Keanu said.

Keanu shared that his passion for motorcycles began during his upbringing in Toronto.

‘And every summer, motorcycle gangs would come into the Yorkville. I just remember as a little, little kid, 11-year-old, going, like, “Freedom.” It felt like freedom. It felt like alternative. It felt like power. You know, like, “Waah!” They’d come in. Camaraderie, the whole thing. And so it began,’ Keanu said.

They embarked on an exciting three-day, 500-mile adventure through Utah. Their journey started in Salt Lake City, then headed south to visit a top-notch racing team in Summit County. After that, they explored Canyonlands National Park before concluding their ride with a celebration of motorcycles and fire in Moab.

Norman confessed that he would feel nostalgic about not being able to ride motorcycles in Georgia, where he had worked on previous seasons of The Walking Dead.

‘How many months out of a year would you shoot?,’ Keanu asked.

‘Eight months, but this last season, we did almost a year and a half solid,’ Norman said.

Keanu expressed his enthusiasm for the celebration, the stunning location, and the people they met during the ride. He also conveyed his gratitude for being a part of the experience.

“Ride With Norman Reedus” will be back on AMC next week with an episode titled ‘Northern Italy with Josh Holloway.’
