Princess Ariel serenades the world with the new The Little Mermaid trailer
With the release of the latest The Little Mermaid teaser, Disney is showcasing their most recent live-action version. The main character of the 1989 Disney classic and the Danish fable with the same name, Ariel, a mermaid princess who is in love with man Prince Eric, exchanges her voice for legs from the wicked sea witch Ursula in order to live among humans.
The Little Mermaid remake’s cast, which also includes Javier Bardem, Jonah Hauer-King, Melissa McCarthy, Daveed Diggs, Awkwafina, and Jacob Tremblay, is headed by Halle Bailey.
In the trailer, Halle Bailey’s mysterious performance as Princess Ariel from the upcoming live-action Disney adaptation is explored in greater detail. The evil sea witch Ursula, played by Melissa McCarthy, is shown in the Little Mermaid teaser plotting to conquer Ariel’s kingdom of Atlantica, as well as Flounder and Prince Eric.
The Little Mermaid will be released on May 26, 2023.
