The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 1

In the first episode, Reddington’s presence was limited, only appearing for a brief moment in New York before disappearing for a while. However, the episode was still set up in a very enjoyable way. Fans of the show should be interested to see how his intricate connections will continue to play a part in the series, as he was able to access a site that was unknown to anyone else. The tension that filled the scene when the elevator opened and he emerged was palpable, and the directors should be commended for executing such a thrilling action sequence with a limited budget.

The Blacklist at its best?

The Blacklist is at its best with its dark and intense, and memorable adversaries. It was perfect for the show to pay homage to iconic blacklisters from earlier seasons, like Wujing and the Freelancer. It was great for them to look back and recall the past fondly, especially since so many blacklisters are either dead or in prison. It was a great way to start the final season, with Wujing showing that he can find anyone, no matter their location, and be connected to the task force right away.

Is Jennifer dead?

It appears that Jennifer has died, and Wujing is trying to find everyone who was on Marvin’s list to fight against Readington. Jennifer gave Wujing the information he needed to locate the Night Owl, even though she is no longer on the list. This isn’t something a blacklister fan will remember, but it helped drive the theme of the show home.

We can expect Freelancer and Alexander Kirk to come back, but it is unclear if they will. The Wujing story worked very well in this episode and hopefully, it will make the audience more fond of him.

Reddington at his best

Reddington is making the best of a difficult situation and is calling on people from his network that we haven’t seen yet. He’s trying to get as many safeguards as possible since he is in a very precarious position. Wujing is a dangerous criminal and is trying to stop Reddington but he seems to have no bodyguards.

Chuck got to say some words in this episode, but Reddington it at it alone. He’s looking for a secure place with no windows or any other connections to the FBI. It seems like Reddington is doing this not just to protect himself but also out of love for Dembe; they had a conversation at the elevator where Dembe expressed worries about Reddington’s security and Reddington assured him that he would be fine.

We’re all hoping that this will push Dembe to rejoin Reddington and help him. Sia is a new character and her story of wanting to be part of the secrets is compelling. There may be a possibility for her to find out about her past with Berlin and there is a chance for Reddington to have a more level playing field with the task force since he needs them more than ever. It was nice to see Agnes again, even if it was only briefly, and we hope that there will be more answers about Reddington soon.
