‘The Santa Clauses’ renews for Season 2 by Disney+

The Santa Clauses has been renewed for Season 2 by Disney+ following the Season 1 finale, with Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell returning in their respective roles as Mr. and Mrs. Clause.

After serving as Santa Claus for almost thirty years, Scott Calvin (Allen) makes a comeback in Season 1 and is just as merry as ever. But when interest in Christmas dwindles, so does his Santa charm. Scott finds it challenging to balance the demands of his profession with providing for his family.

Scott considers giving up his role as Santa Claus after learning there is a way to do so in order to find a deserving successor and improve his roles as a husband and father.

“This franchise has had a lasting impact for so many families, truly becoming part of their annual holiday traditions,” said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television. “Bringing it back as a series has been a true gift, and I’m grateful to our producing partners at 20th Television and, of course, Tim Allen and team, that we have yet another reason to celebrate this holiday season.”
