The Lord of the Rings Beats James Bond!

For the first time in what seems like a very long time, Amazon’s newest original series debuted this month, and you can really see the effect The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is having on downloads. For Amazon, this is advantageous.
The first weekend after the show’s release, on Saturday, September 3, downloads reached their peak for the year. App Intelligence shows that day had a 498 thousand user increase for Amazon. Back in January, there was the previous peak. However, that was the first weekend

On 9/17, Amazon’s download numbers surpassed the previous week’s high of 604 thousand. a brand-new record for Amazon.

Despite being a popular streaming platform, Amazon’s consistent downloads are largely a result of its ability to push its streaming service to Prime members.

With a few hits and a lot of misses, its capacity to create originals that are successful was questioned, but it now seems like they are producing more hits.

A few months ago, Amazon debuted another exclusive, the most recent James Bond film, which I had predicted would be a huge hit for the company’s unimpressive mobile streaming app, especially in light of the likelihood that this was the final appearance of the Bond we are accustomed to.7

No Time to Die’s release resulted in an increase in downloads, but not by nearly the same amount as this month, thanks to The Ring of Power.

Therefore, either James Bond wasn’t a really thrilling film (it wasn’t; even Craig Bond didn’t want to do it…) Or Amazon discovered some new techniques for promoting its content. perhaps both. In either case, the streaming competition is far from done.
