‘That ’90s Show’: Netflix releases That ’70s Show sequel teaser trailer

Viewers will be transported to the basement of the Forman family by That ’90s Show. The first teaser for the upcoming sequel series, which will pick up 15 years after That ’70s Show, has been made available on Netflix.

As they welcome their granddaughter Leia (Callie Haverda) into their home for the summer, Red and Kitty Forman, once again portrayed by Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp, respectively, can be seen for the first time in the new footage. The character of Red gives his granddaughter and her new friends a list of rules to follow while they are staying under his roof in the teaser. Demonstrating that he hasn’t let old age soften him up.

That ’70s Show debuted on Fox in 1998 and ran there for eight seasons and 200 episodes until 2006. From May 17, 1976, to December 31, 1979, the programme follows the antics of a group of teenagers in Point Place, Wisconsin. The teenage daughter of Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon) would be followed in the Netflix sequel series. That ’90s Show as she spent the summer of 1995 with her grandparents and made friends with other teenagers in the neighborhood.

That ’70s Show’s cast will only appear in a limited number of episodes. Therefore That ’90s Show will instead introduce a number of new actors to round out the core cast. New characters include the rebellious Riot Grrrl Gwen (Ashley Aufderheide), aspirant videographer Jay (Mace Coronel), Gwen’s easygoing and fun-loving brother Nate (Maxwell Acee Donovan), openly gay teen Ozzie (Reyn Doi), and Nate’s ambitious and intelligent girlfriend Nikki, in addition to Haverda as Eric and Donna’s smart, sarcastic teenage daughter. Leo, played by Tommy Chong, will also return.

On January 19, That ’90s Show will be available on Netflix.
