Sofia Vergara’s Amalfi Coast Escape and Fertility Struggles

Sofia Vergara, was seen relaxing on a boat while sailing along the beautiful Amalfi coast. This happened not long after she shared the news of her separation from her fellow actor, Joe Manganiello.

Dressed in a sleeveless top with thin straps, a skirt with colorful designs, and big sunglasses, the 51-year-old sat by the edge of the boat while heading towards Conco del Sogno for lunch with some friends.

Following seven years of marriage, Sofia and her husband Joe confirmed their decision to get a divorce. The close sources say that their inability to conceive a baby together is one of the reasons behind their separation.

According to a report from the National Inquirer, Vergara, the star of Modern Family and a mother to her son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara from a previous relationship, expressed her desire to have more children with her husband, Manganiello.

The publication reported that their divorce after seven years of marriage resulted from their difficulty in conceiving due to their older age.

“Sofía really wanted to share a child with Joe, but they both have come to the conclusion that they’re too old,” a source told the publication.

The insider also revealed that Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello chose not to pursue In vitro fertilization (IVF) as an option. The negative experience with IVF during his previous relationship with ex-fiancé Nick Loe influenced their decision.

In the statement they released together, they said “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
