Sins of Our Mother ending explained: What happened to Lori Vallow’s kids?

A new real crime docuseries is available to stream on Netflix right now, and it tells an unbelievable narrative. In Sins of Our Mother, we learn what happened before Tylee Ashlyn Ryan, 16, and Joshua Jaxon “J.J.” Vallow, 7, were killed. Their mother Lori Vallow, along with her husband Chad Daybell, are both currently in jail awaiting trial after being charged with the murder of their children.
Lori Vallow’s adult life, including her several marriages and her commitment to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is portrayed in the book Sins of Our Mother. She had been a devout Christian for years, but when she met Chad Daybell, a self-published novelist who thought the end of the world was approaching, things changed.

When the alleged apocalypse occurred, only people with light spirits, also known as the righteous, would be rescued, according to Chad. He thought he could tell if someone had a dark or a light spirit.
Tylee and J.J. were reported missing in September 2019. When questioned about the whereabouts of the two kids, Lori lied and claimed that they were staying with her friend, but her friend vehemently disputed this. When interviewed by the media, Lori pretended everything was alright despite the fact that her kids were obviously missing. She refused to say where her kids were or what had happened to them and said nothing unpleasant had occurred.

Sadly, Tylee and J.J.’s loved ones’ worst fears came true in June 2020 when their bodies were discovered in Chad’s yard. Lori and Chad were eventually charged with first-degree murder and they are currently awaiting their trial date in early 2023. Because this case is very much still ongoing, we don’t have all the details on what happened.

Lori is accused of killing her children, but at this time we don’t have that confirmation. At the very least, it’s likely she conspired to murder them because of the supposed dark spirits living inside of their bodies. We do not know if Chad is the one who committed the actual murders, but that’s definitely something people following the case theorize.
