Sergio Calderon, Pirates of the Caribbean actor also known for his roles in the Disney. He has passed away at the age of 77. He had a career in acting that spanned over six decades, the actor died of natural causes in a Los Angeles hospital on Wednesday, May 31.
Throughout his career, Sergio Calderon had the opportunity to collaborate with esteemed director Sergio Leone on his film, the 1971 thriller Duck You Sucker.
He also worked with John Huston on two occasions, appearing in films such as The Bridge in the Jungle and Under the Volcano.
At the age of 10, he relocated to Mexico City. He pursued his acting education at the Instituto Andrés Soler, affiliated with the Asociación Nacional de Actores.
In the film Men in Black Calderon portrayed the character whose head appears on the end of a sword, wielded by an alien crossing the US-Mexico border line, and shown to Tommy Lee Jones’s character, K. He also had a role in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007), where he played one of the Pirate Lords, Captain Eduardo Villanueva of the Adriatic Sea, alongside Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones.
