Prince Harry accused the Royal Family of failing to defend his wife, Meghan in the Jeremy Clarkson newspaper column debate.
The Duke of Sussex stated in an ITV interview that the “deafening silence” on the “horrific” Sun article from last month. The article was written by Mr. Clarkson. Harry described that article as “horrific and hurtful and cruel towards my wife.”
The columnist was said to be “dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her” in the Clarkson article on Meghan. However, the article was taken down afterward and an apology was issued.
Harry said, “The world is asking for some form of a comment from the monarchy. But the silence is deafening. To put it mildly. Everything to do with my wife, after six years, they haven’t said a single thing.”
The links between “some members of the family and the tabloid press,” Prince Harry charged that the Royal Family had “gotten into bed with the devil” in order to boost its reputation.
