Neil Gaiman Says ‘More Than Divine Intervention’ is Needed for Good Omens 3

According to the Good Omens series co-creator Neil Gaiman says that it’ll take more than divine intervention to make the third season happen.

If you’ve been wondering about the third season after the most heartbreaking season two ending ever for a comedy-series, you’re not alone. Fans have been hoarding Gaiman for more episodes. He responded to a fan politely, “We need Amazon to do what they can to end the strike first. And then we need the strike to end.”

Gaiman has already expressed his desire to finish the tale left on a cliffhanger at the end of the second season, despite Prime Video‘s failure to announce plans for the thord season, to the point that he’s even offered writing it as a novel if necessary.

There’s a strong reason for Gaiman’s eagerness to tell that narrative in whatever shape it takes; as he’s mentioned on Twitter, the third season would adapt an unpublished sequel to the original novel that he and Terry Pratchett planned years ago. “Season 2 was how we get to the beginning of the sequel story,” he stated.

Time will tell what form the story will eventually take.
