Elizabeth Olsen reveals that Wanda could be saved in the Multiverse Saga of the MCU.
In Phase 4, which began with WandaVision, Wanda received the limelight after years of serving as a supporting role to the founding Avengers in the Infinity Saga. Later, as the Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, she completely embraced her evil nature.
Scarlet Witch was once intended to be Avengers 5’s foe by Marvel Studios. But author Michael Waldron of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness persuaded them to hasten her heel-turn and set her against fellow magic-user Doctor Strange.

Olsen is confident that Wanda will have a redemption arc following Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Neither the actress nor Marvel Studios have spoken about the character’s future. Despite this, Olsen tells Variety that she is anticipating Scarlet Witch’s self-redemption in the MCU Multiverse Saga.
“Wanda is heading, hopefully, towards some sort of redemption. I don’t think any of these characters are ever really gone. Especially the you introduce the Multiverse to multiply all our bodies and other universes. Something that playing Wanda has taught me over how many years is how many things and opportunities you can do with one character. Kind of breaks a feeling of limitations to be with a character for so long and continue to change the narrative of how this character is used to tell story.”, she stated.

Not everyone is happy with how Marvel Studios handled Wanda’s story, particularly regarding her role as a villain in the Multiverse Saga of the MCU. Even while there’s still a lot to cover with her being a morally dubious character, it’s absolutely vital that she begins her atonement when she returns to the franchise, given how Multiverse of Madness concludes.
Wanda would have been the primary opponent of Avengers 5 if Marvel Studios had followed through with its original plan, but fans would find it difficult to accept any more of the evil.
