Loki Season 2 Faces Last-Minute Shocking Twist
Tom Hiddleston’s Loki Season 2 will arrive sooner than we thought.
Everyone is eagerly waiting for Season 2 of Disney+‘s Loki, where Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief and Owen Wilson’s Mobius will continue their story.
Marvel Studios announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Loki Season 2 will premiere on Thursday, October 5th, at 9:00 p.m. ET (6:00 p.m. PT).
The show’s original release date was set for Friday, October 6th.
The new release time on Thursday is a significant shift from the usual 3:00 a.m. ET release time for all previous MCU Disney+ shows.
The official press release for Loki Season 2 also mentioned that all the following episodes of the series will also be released on Thursday evenings at 9:00 p.m. ET.
If Marvel Studios and Disney+ stick to releasing only one episode for Season 2’s premiere, then Episode 2 would come out on October 12, Episode 3 on October 19, Episode 4 on October 26, Episode 5 on November 2, and the season finale (Episode 6) on November 9.
If Marvel Studios releases just one episode on Thursday, October 6 for the Season 2 premiere of Loki, then the season finale will arrive on Disney+ just one day before the official theatrical release date of The Marvels.
However, like most other films, The Marvels will be screened in theaters on Thursday night at the same time as the Loki finale is released on the streaming platform.
It does seem a bit unusual that Marvel Studios would choose to release two major projects on the same day and around the same time, especially given the significance of both Loki and The Marvels.
There hasn’t been any confirmation about whether Loki will have a two-episode premiere, but if Marvel Studios wants to avoid overlap with The Marvels, that’s the likely scenario.
Loki Season 2 is set to debut on Disney+ on Thursday, October 5th, at 9 p.m. ET.
