Kylie Jenner calls out Khloe and Kourtney for the ‘Dopey’ Label
Kylie Jenner bravely revealed how her sisters’ childhood taunts left her feeling insecure and negatively impacted her self-esteem. However, her daughter Stormi became a source of healing.
Kylie mentioned that she had traumatic childhood as people used to make fun of her, and labeled her “Dopey”
She shared that her childhood insecurities about her ears had a lasting impact on her, and she discussed this on a recent episode of The Kardashians on Hulu.
Jenner revealed that people used to call her Dopey, comparing her to the character from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. She also noticed that her daughter, Stormi, has similar ears.
Kylie tells her sisters, “You guys don’t realize, how you always talked about my ears,” but Khloe replied that “I talked about your ears because I loved them.’
Kylie denies, ‘But I didn’t think it. I didn’t receive it like that. I received it as like everyone is making fun of my ears, calling me Dopey,’ as Kourtney asks if she called her that.
Kylie said, “Everyone did it,” as she playfully tugged on Kourtney’s ears and called her “little Dopey.” Kourtney realized that this teasing had happened when they were both kids.
In her confession, Kourtney adds, “We do live in a world that is obsessed with perfection. I’m just really conscious with my own kids about giving them the freedom to express themselves and not putting so much pressure on perfectionism.”
Khloe adds in the room, ‘Like I definitely don’t want our kids to have those insecurities but I do my best at home.’
Kourtney adds, ‘I think the messaging is like you’re good enough just the way you are, you know, and like owning who you are.’
“I feel like having a daughter, and thinking about beauty in the future, has definitely changed me, and I feel like it has made me love myself more and accept everything about me,” she told in an interview
