Kim Kardashian, the Kardashian star, proved she’s not above serving her civic duty.
She reported for jury duty at the Van Nuys Courthouse in California. The 42-year-old celebrity was seen at the courthouse, where she was a potential juror in a murder case involving gang violence. In this particular case, two individuals face charges related to a gang-related murder. Kardashian participated in a session where she and other potential jurors were questioned by attorneys representing both the prosecution and defense.
After the court adjourned, Kardashian was excused as an agreement was reached between the prosecution and defense to select 12 jury members and four alternate members. Notably, she had members of her Hulu crew with her, who were filming her activities at the courthouse.
Kardashian’s interest in the legal field is not new. Over the past few years, she has been diligently studying to become a lawyer, following in the footsteps of her late father, Robert Kardashian, who was a member of O.J. Simpson’s legal defense team during his murder trial. Her dedication paid off when she passed the Baby Bar exam in December 2021 after three attempts.
According to Daily Mail, In her own words, she shared, “For anyone who doesn’t know my law school journey, know this wasn’t easy or handed to me. I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time studied harder, and tried again until I did it! Bottom line is don’t ever give up even when you are holding on by a thread, you can do it”.
Kardashian’s willingness to fulfill her civic duty and her dedication to making a positive impact in the legal field and criminal justice reform continue to be commendable aspects of her public persona.
