She will be making a surprising comeback in the show’s spin-off, And Just Like That Reports indicate that Kim Cattrall will make a brief cameo appearance in the second season of the show, which viewers can stream on Sky and NOW in the UK.
Previously, Kim Catrall had expressed her reluctance to reprise the role. This led to her absence in the first season of the spin-off. Nonetheless, fans can now look forward to seeing her character on screen once again.
The second season of “And Just Like That…” will feature a cameo appearance by Kim Cattrall in its final episode.
Sources indicate that the actor recorded her dialogue for the scene on March 22, separate from the other stars of the series. Including Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and showrunner Michael Patrick King.
The cameo scene will reportedly feature Samantha, who now resides in London, engaging in a phone conversation with Carrie Bradshaw, portrayed by Parker.
Although Cattrall did not appear in the show’s first season. Though her character was referenced and had communication with Carrie through text messages.
The season one finale of “And Just Like That…” hinted at a potential reconciliation between the characters, a development that showrunner Michael Patrick King has confirmed.
The Independent has reached out to Max, the network airing the show, for official confirmation. Cattrall made it clear that she had no interest in reprising the role of Samantha.
Following a widely publicized feud with Jessica Parker. Reports suggest that other members of the cast had a strained relationship with Cattrall.
In a 2017 interview on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories. Cattrall expressed her belief that Jessica Parker could have handled her decision with more kindness. She could’ve decline a role in the potential third Sex and the City film with more kindness. Cattrall also stated that the four lead actors of the show were never truly friends.
In her first public response to Cattrall’s comments, Parker shared during an interview on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast that hearing those remarks had caused her significant pain.
