While Britney Spears is dancing on Instagram, her sister is taking her dance moves to the big dance show. Jamie Lynn Spears will be on Season 32 of Dancing With the Stars and she’ll be dancing with her partner, Alan Bersten.
The actress, who appeared in the movie Zoey 102 on Paramount+ and Season 3 of Sweet Magnolias on Netflix, is now joining the list of celebrities set to compete. Other announced participants include Ariana Madix from Vanderpump Rules and Charity Lawson from The Bachelorette. The complete cast will be revealed on Wednesday.
“I have this unique opportunity where I was offered a chance to work when my community cannot work,” Spears said on GMA. “I figured I’ll do this and I will donate my weekly salary to SAG, WGA and just give back to them at a time where they can’t even give to themselves.”
Apart from her personal achievements, Spears has attracted media attention over the years due to her fluctuating relationship with her sister.
“I have nothing but absolute love for every single one of my family members. If I learned anything from last year, being so open and feeling like I had to defend myself at times, I don’t feel like there’s anything else that I need to say,” she told Variety in an interview in June. “I just have to leave it where it is because those conversations are meant to be personal. All I can focus on now is my girls, my husband and the work that I’m doing.”
The previous season of Dancing with the Stars, produced by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions, was available for streaming on Disney+. However, this year the show will return to its original network, ABC. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will co-host the show, with Hough replacing Tyra Banks. The judging panel will consist of Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough.
Dancing with the Stars is set to make its return to ABC on Tuesday, September 28, with an extended premiere for season 32. The show will continue to air on Tuesdays throughout the season, and it will be simulcast live on Disney+. Additionally, viewers can stream the episode on Hulu the following day.
