‘Harry & Meghan’ has become Netflix’s biggest hit of the year in UK
Harry & Meghan has now grown to be the UK’s most popular Netflix show of the year. More than two million people watched the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new Netflix series in the UK on Thursday.
During its first day on Netflix, the pilot episode of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s documentary series had 2.4 million views on smart TVs.
According to numbers provided by overnights.tv that have undergone independent auditing, the third instalment only managed 800,000 streams, while the second episode received 1.5 million streams.
Since joining Barb, the official television ratings organisation, in October, Netflix ratings are now being recorded for the first time in the UK.
Harry & Meghan outperformed The Crown’s fifth season premiere, which had 1.1 million streams on the day of its debut last month.
Harry & Meghan’s second chapter will debut the following week. After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spoke about their relationship, family, and disdain of the media, the first three episodes have dominated the news agenda in the UK.
