French Government criticized ‘Black Panther 2’
French minister Sébastien Lecornu criticizes the Black Panther 2 for “misleading representation.”
Black Panther: Wakanda forever has been the biggest hit at the box office since its release. Despite the fact that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is everyone’s all-time favorite, French authorities are not happy with how the country’s military was portrayed.
As Politico published, the French minister portrayed his anger and took out his offense on a Twitter post. He says, “I strongly condemn this false and deceptive representation of our armed forces. I am thinking of and honoring the 58 French soldiers who died defending Mali, at its request, in the face of Islamist terrorist groups.”
The tweet was followed by a clip from Wakanda Forever showing the Dora Milaje accompanying a group of French troops as they are brought before the UN. The video was uploaded by journalist Jean Bexon, who points out that the inmates’ attire is strikingly reminiscent of the uniforms used by the soldiers who participated in Operation Barkhane, the actual expedition Lecornu refers to in his tweet.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now streaming on Disney+.
