After receiving a bite from a radioactive spider, Spider-Punk acquires superhuman abilities and becomes formidable force against an oppressive government. Therefore the character is Influenced by the punk-rock movement and fueled by a passion for anti-establishment ideals says Joaquim.
The character plays a crucial yet limited role in the film. His rebellious mindset gradually influences Miles Morales, compelling him to defy the Spider-Society. Morales embarks on a mission with spider punk to save his loved ones, and challenge established canon.
