‘Daredevil’ star Deborah Ann Woll talks about a potential ‘Born Again’ comeback
Deborah Ann Woll might return for the new series of Dare Devil: Born Again.
Charlie Cox’s appearance as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is still awaited by Marvel fans. However, his imminent presence is simply a taster for the main entrée served on Disney+ in 2024. The Daredevil: Born Again series from the studio was undoubtedly one of the more thrilling revelations to come out of Comic-Con this summer. Unfortunately, not every cast member from the original Daredevil Netflix series—including Deborah Ann Woll—is confident they will return for the reboot.
Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, who will reprise his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Born Again, are the only cast members who have been officially announced. The public is also eager to see Woll and Elden Henson reprise their roles as Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. Woll recently said in an interview with Collider that Marvel hasn’t gotten in touch with her about playing the same part again. What it sounds like, her love for the role hasn’t changed in the years passed since the termination of Daredevil.
Woll added, “So, I mean, that means so lot to me. “I really miss that persona, which I adore so much. We weren’t done, in my opinion. There was so much more to our narrative. So, yes, seeing how much people adore her and want to see more of her is incredibly fulfilling. I really hope I do. Here I am. They have my phone number.”
As the first season of Daredevil came to a close, Matt, Foggy, and Karen were working to rebuild their relationship and prepare to launch a new legal firm together. Whether Born Again will serve as a soft relaunch or a straight continuation of the Netflixverse is still up in the air. Whatever the case, Woll is eager to watch what Marvel creates, even if she isn’t personally engaged.
Woll said, “As far as I know, I’m available.” However, it is up to them. They’ll tell the best narrative they can. I can be sure of that. And it will be so thrilling if Karen Page is among them. I will, however, be a pleased spectator if it doesn’t.”
In the spring of 2024, Daredevil: Born Again will make its Disney+ debut.
