HBO Max has released the much-awaited official teaser of Clone High, revealing that the adult animated sitcom will be hitting theatres this spring.
Show creators including Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Bill Lawrence are ready for the revival of the high school setting which introduces teenage clones of Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, and Joan of Arc. The story navigates around the High school year in unique and unconventional ways.
The show was first aired between 2002 till 2003, which resulted in the unusual depiction of historical counterparts. Although the show received backlash over Gandhi’s portrayal, which led to protests in New Delhi, Clone High has already developed a cult following during its initial run on MTV that is set to air after twenty years.
The adult animated series is planned to roll out in spring with an official release date that is yet to be announced.
