‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ New Host Has Been Revealed

The original presenter of the star-studded game show Celebrity Jeopardy!, Mayim Bialik, will not be returning for the upcoming season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Ken Jennings is set to take over hosting duties. While they continue to co-host the original Jeopardy! series, Bialik has been hosting the A-list version solo.

The actress is apparently refusing to appear on Celebrity Jeopardy! in order to be united with her colleagues involved in the SAG-AFTRA strikes.

When Bialik originally stepped down, the ABC quiz series had one week of production left for season 39, and it is currently due to begin its 40th season in September. The show will return in September. Jeopardy Masters is set to return in March 2024.

Showrunner Michael Davis recently detailed how the strikes have damaged and “derailed” both quiz shows on his Inside Jeopardy! podcast. He said, the new season will be “a combination of material that our [Writer’s Guild of America] writers wrote before the strike, which is still in the database, and material that has been re-deployed from multiple seasons of the show.”

Previous contestants will also help to create content.
