Oscar winners Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry are set to join hands in Bourne vs Bond style action thriller, Maude v Maude.
Warner Bros landed a coveted feature project in an intense bidding war over the weekend which will be scripted by Scott Mosier (The Grinch). The project is yet hidden although it is described as a “Bond vs Bourne” type of genre which is the first time that these renowned actors will be working together.
Jolie has successfully played a spy in Mr. & Mrs. Smith as well as originating the role of Tomb Raider and Lara Croft. Berry, on the other hand, starred in Die Another day and other action hits including John Wick 3 and the infamous X-Men Movies.
In addition to Maude v Maude, Angelina is said to work with Pablo Larrain (spencer) to star in Maria, a biopic on Maria Callas considered to be one of the greatest opera singers. Jolie said in a statement “ I take very seriously the responsibility to Maria’s life and legacy. I will give all I can to meet the challenge.”
Halle is currently working on Horror Thriller, Never Let Go, which she and Holly Jeter are producing. She and HalleHolly are represented by WME and Range Media Partners, the latter who reps along with CAA Whist Angelina Jolie recently appeared in eternals and has an upcoming Drama Without Blood which includes Salma Hayek.
