The story of the series revolves around a British intelligence agent River Cartwright who is shifted to Slough House after an embarrassing failed training mission. Thrill in his life revives with the abduction of a young man and his kidnappers threatening to kill him on a live stream. River is invested in this case and as he researches, he discovers that each person involved in this case has their own motives.
