Channel 4 Popular Shows will now be available on Youtube

A new agreement between Channel 4 and YouTube will bring 1,000 hours of footage from some of the channel’s most popular series to YouTube, where viewers can watch them for free. Panel shows like 8 out of 10 Cats, Servant of the People  will be on the schedule, as will reality shows like SAS: Who Dares Wins, but the key for Channel 4 is that it will be airing commercials before and maybe during the shows. In the UK and Ireland, the shows will be available on YouTube, with selected programmes being made available 30 days following their premiere on All 4.

With YouTube being utilised by 98 percent of online 18-34-year-olds each month, the new relationship is part of Channel 4’s plans to accelerate its transition to a digital-first broadcaster for youthful audiences.
